Maintenance
6.0 Maintenance
This unit is designed to operate for a long time.
If the operator shuts down the unit correctly (
5.1.3)
at the end of each shift, no further maintenance is
required.
This unit must not be opened by the operator, except
in accordance with explicit instructions.
6.1 Compensation Run
All clamping and centring means are balanced within
a maximum permitted tolerance.
To compensate for any residual unbalance that might
be left in the clamping tool, it is recommended that
the compensation run be performed after switching
on the machine or after changing the clamping tool,
especially in case of motorcycle wheel tools (also
see Chapter 5.2.3).
This mode cannot be transferred into the permanent
memory.
Fit the clamping device properly on the balancer
shaft (
Fig. 6-1
)
. Do not fit the wheel.
Starting from the screen main Menu (
Fig. 6-2
) press
the Compensation run key (
1, Fig. 6-2
).
Start the compensation run with the START key
(
Fig. 6-3
).
The compensation run takes longer than a regular
measuring run. After the Compensation Run, an
icon in the status Bar indicates the Compensation
Active status.
The compensation is retained until deleted by pressing
key (
1, Fig. 6-4
) again, after a recalibration or an
optimisation run, or by switching off the machine.
