7 - CALIBRATION AND SPECIAL FUNCTIONS
(see access diagram 5.2)
In order to access the "Settings and special functions", a password must be entered.
Any wrong operation within the functions shown below could damage wheel balancer operation.
Unauthorised use will invalidate the machine warranty.
7.1 - WIDTH MEASUREMENT ENGAGEMENT
Engages/disengages automatic width measurement by means of a contact device. Select:
- OFF in the case of machine with manual width measurement;
- TOUCH in the case of machine with automatic width measurement (OPTIONAL).
7.2 - SETTING CUSTOMER AND USER NAME
The machine can be customised by setting:
a) The name to appear in the initial frame (screen-saver).
b) The name of 4 different wheel balancer users (USER NAME)
The screen will show an "ideal" keyboard with the set of characters available for writing messages.
The customer's name consists of 3 lines of at most 30 characters each.
User names have at most 15 characters each.
7.3 - RUN-OUT MEASUREMENT ENGAGEMENT
Engages/disengages tyre run-out measurement during the unbalance measurement spin
7.4 - CALIBRATIONS
By pressing
from the special functions menu, the calibration menu can be accessed
7.4.1- GAUGE CALIBRATION
Select the gauge to be calibrated and follow the instructions on the screen.
Note:
- when calibrating the diameter gauge, it is most important to position the gauge correctly as shown in
figure 8.
