Wiring of the Electronic unit Type IN11-B :

The wiring diagrams are shown on page 14.

The systems power supply must be within 18Vdc to 35Vdc maximum, both main and emergency powersupply (4,35VA / 24Vdc).
Both cables of the powersupplies must be with 2 wires and a screen.

Note : Connect the screen to the case of the electronic unit directly when it enters the housing by folding the screen back on
the outside of the  rubber of the cable gland.
This will prevent HF disturbances from entering the case inductivly through the power supply cables. Keep the screen

connected on the inside of the housing so the incoming wires of the power supply can't pick up any internal signals.

Standard in/outputs of the electronic unit Type IN11-B :

- enable input for course setter / course alarm

- 20mVdc/° output signal with course alarm standard set on 10°
- potential free contact for external course alarm
- heading information output in NMEA0183 (2x)
- external dimmer input

For other options, additional interfaces are available. Please do not hesitate to ask us for information. If an option is part of the
delivery, the relevant information and instructions will be added to these instructions.

Connecting the sensors, special attention should be paid to the following :

- all the sensors MC2/MC4/MC5 are supplied with special cable and a watertight connector at the sensor side and a separate
connector for connection in the electronic unit.
- this cable is very delicate and has to be installed with care
- this cable has separately shielded leads in order to prevent cross interference.
- in case you need a longer cable than delivered or additional cable for extension, you are strongly advised to use our special
cable. Using other types of cable might lead to non-solvable accuracy problems of the system.
- cable extensions up to 100m are possible.

Connecting the compass cable in the electronic unit IN11-B :

- remove the black outer insulation over a length of appr. 20 to 25 cm. The different colored leads with their shielding/screen
  will become visible.
- remove these shieldings/screens from all except from one lead, cutting them off near the black outer insulation.
- make one lead of the remaining shielding/screen, by twisting them between thumb and indexfinger. If you use all the
shielding leads, the total lead will be to thick to handle and there may be a higher chance for short circuit caused by loose
  strands.
-

Note : Connect the screen to the case of the electronic unit directly when it enters the housing by folding the screen back

on the outside of the  rubber of the cable gland.
This will prevent HF disturbances from entering the case inductivly through the power supply cables. Keep the screen
connected on the inside of the housing so the incoming wires of the power supply can't pick up any internal signals.

- remove the insulation from the different leads for appr. 5 mm.
- fold the strands back along the insulation and then insert them into the
  terminal.
- do not solder the ends of these leads, because soldered leads tend to
break easily caused by vibrations of the ship.

The sensor MC4 is supplied  with 2m  cable and a watertight connector.
Cable lenght from magnetic compass to the electronic unit  has to be
ordered seperatly.
The sensor side of the connector is wired as follows and the other half must
be wired the same (see table) :

The sensor MC2 is supplied with 10 m of cable and a watertight connector.
The sensor MC5 is supplied with 15 m of cable and a watertight connector.
