CLEANING THE SLIDE PATH
CAUTION:
Proper instrument operation depends on routinely cleaning the slide path, as
prompted.
Frequent cleaning of the mechanisms which handle the slides will greatly reduce the risk of sample
errors or slide handling problems. The message “Please Clean Slide Path” will display when this is
required. It is important to perform this maintenance when prompted.
Note:
Only de-ionized or distilled water should be used to moisten swabs or lint-free cloth for
cleaning the instrument.
Microscope Slide Areas
Interior of Slide Cartridge
Each time a cartridge is loaded with microscope slides, wipe the inside of the cartridge with a lint-
free cloth to remove glass dust. Clean the bottom surface where the slides sit, to help ensure proper
slide picking.
