Motor protection switch
In the motor of the panel there is a thermal protection
switch which automatically shuts off the motor in case of
thermal overload.
After eliminating the cause of the overload and waiting
for the engine to cool down completely, the engine can
be restarted.

The cover circuit breaker is located under the inner
cover, which must be removed when replacing the saw
blade. If the cover is not mounted, the switch prevents
the engine from starting.
Workpiece kickback protection

If necessary, the workpiece kickback guard can be
mounted on the sliding carriage to prevent the workpiece
from being knocked back.
Chip cover
The chip hood protects against accidental contact with
the saw blade and against flying chips. The chip cover
must always be mounted during operation.
Riving knife
The splitting wedge prevents a workpiece from being
caught by the rising teeth and thrown against the opera-
tor. The splitting wedge must always be mounted during
operation.

Intended use
The Panel saw FKS 315-2000 E is used for sawing with
versatile adjustable angles of boards and strips. The
processing of solid wood, chipboard, panels and profiles
is possible. In compliance with the safety instructions,
the conditions of use for the saw blade used must be ob-
served. Firewood must not be processed.
The machine must be operated with a suitable extraction
system.
It is suitable for private use, not for industrial use.
Proper use also includes compliance with all information
in this manual. Any use beyond the intended use or
otherwise is considered misuse.
For structural and technical changes on the panel saw the
company Stürmer Maschinen GmbH assumes no liability.
Claims of any kind due to damage due to improper use are
excluded.
3.1 Residual risks
The machine is built according to the state of the art
and the recognized safety rules. Nevertheless,
individual residual risks can occur when working.
- Danger of injury to fingers and hands due to the
rotating saw blade if the workpiece is handled
improperly.
- Injuries from the workpiece being ejected due to
improper handling or guidance, such as work without a
stop.
- Risk to health from noise. When working, the permissible
noise level is exceeded. Be sure to wear personal protec-
tive equipment such as ear protection.
