12. Maintenance and Repair
Before maintenance or repair disconnect the mixer
from the power supply to avoid accidental starting of the
mixer!
In order to guarantee trouble-free operation and a long du-
rability without unnecessary and expensive repair works, it
is very important to have a regular and preventive mainte-
nance every six (6) months.
Mixers are often used under extreme operating conditions.
Therefore it is important to install a motor protection switch
to prevent the motor from blowing due to excessive elec-
tricity uptake.
If the safety function has been activated, the mixer can be
started again after the reason for the interruption has been
eliminated. This may be due to e.g. too low current, block-
ing of the propeller or overheating of the motor. The cooling
of an overheated motor may take up to one full hour.
In case of repair works this is to be carried out only in a
specialized work shop.
In case of repair work only original spare parts as indicated
in the list of spare parts are to be used.
All inquiries or orders for spare parts must include the
number of the machine! If the specification plate contains a
serial number (that only gives details of its electrical layout),
the data stamped into the motor casing must also be
supplied.
