6.3.6. Terminal 5: Remote disabling
With this input, the pumps can be enabled or disabled re-
motely.
Input open: automatic operation is enabled
Input bridged: automatic operation is disabled, pumps
switch off, the yellow LED flashes and an entry is made
in the event list.
6.3.7. Terminals 6 and 7: overload relays
The auxiliary contacts of mechanical 3-pole overload re-
lays can be connected to terminals 6 and 7. If the input is
open and the parameters are set accordingly, the pump
goes into fault mode. An entry is made in the fault mes-
sage list.
6.3.8. Terminal 8: 4-20 mA signal input for probes
The controller has terminals for connecting a 2-wire sen-
sor 4-20 mA. The sensor voltage supply is routed via the
measuring signal lead. Sensors with a supply voltage of
16-24 VDC can be connected to the terminals. Ensure that
the measuring range of the sensor matches the relevant
parameter setting.
Please note: If the level probe is installed in an area
with a potentially explosive atmosphere, it must be
connected via Zener barriers to provide an intrinsi-
cally safe circuit.
Please note: Ensure correct polarity e.g. ENS lead
red = + and black = -
6.3.9. Hose connection for level measurement using
the dynamic pressure
A quick connector with hose connection 8/6 is provided
for level measurement using the dynamic pressure. The
dynamic pressure sensor is located on the controller as-
sembly. The connection from the quick connector to the
sensor is made via a silicone hose 2x1 mm.
An air bubble compressor may be connected outside the
controller housing by means of a hose tee. The measuring
range of the pressure sensor is 0-2.5 mWC.
With this type of level measurement, it is essential to
ensure that the hose is correctly installed and carefully
joined to the connector. Do not bend the hose. Cut it to
length with a knife (not with a side cutter).
Tighten the union nut on the connector only by hand.
The level can be measured using the dynamic pressure
with or without an air bubble compressor.
Operation with air bubble compressor
As described in 6.3.3. an air bubble compressor can be
connected directly to the controller. Air bubble formation
compensates for leaks caused by the open dynamic pres-
sure system. Even if the switch-on point is not reached
for a prolonged period of time (e.g. if there is no inflow for
a long time, people on holiday, etc.), the level is always
measured correctly.
Operation without air bubble compressor
For operation without an air bubble compressor, please
note that the level measurement may be falsified if there
is little to no inflow and the pitot tube is constantly im-
mersed.
In this case, the pump is switched on briefly when the
forced run is activated (e.g. after 24 hours 2 seconds).
Over several days, this leads to complete drainage of the
sump contents until the switch-off point is reached (when
this happens, the pump runtime is extended by the set
delay time). To prevent the pumps from making sucking
noises, the regular „forced run“ function is switched off
below the switch-off point with or without ATEX mode.
6.3.10. Signal outputs – fault messages
The controller provides 3 floating contacts:
•
Terminal 15: pump 1 faulty
(NO/NC can be set in
the parameters)
•
Terminal 16: pump 2 faulty
(NO/NC can be set in
the parameters)
•
Terminal 17: high water level
, analogue or float
switch (the contact is designed as a changeover con-
tact. The parameter settings can be adjusted to have
the contact continuously on or flashing)
6.3.11. Signal outputs – operating messages
The controller provides a „Pump running“ message for
each pump. The message can be picked up directly at the
corresponding contactor at
terminals 13/14
.
7. HOMApp – for configuration, commis-
sioning and diagnostics
7.1. Product description
HOMApp is used to operate HOMA PCM pump con-
trollers. HOMApp is the universal tool for all functions
required to configure, program, operate and monitor the
PCM, as well as export and save logs.
7.2. Source of supply
HOMApp is available free of charge in the stores for *iOS
and **AndroidTM – devices.
*iOS is a trademark or registered trademark of Cisco in the United States
and other countries and is used under license.
**Android is a trademark of Google LLC.
When HOMApp is installed on the mobile device, data is
also loaded from the HOMA server. These are the current
operating instructions and current common data records
provided by HOMA.
Each time the APP is started, it is checked whether the
current user manual is on the mobile device.
