CLEANING AND CARE
Cleaning and Care
• Pull the power plug (7) and allow the device to cool completely before cleaning.
• Never use solvents or abrasive cleansers, hard brushes, metallic or sharp objects. Solvents are detrimental
to your health and damage plastic parts; abrasive cleansers and implements scratch the surface.
• Never immerse the device in water or other fluids when cleaning. Never hold the device under running water.
• Clean the outside of the device with a damp cloth, and dry it thoroughly afterwards.
Water tank
• Remove the water tank (3) from the device, and rinse it thoroughly. Let it dry completely.
• Wipe the lid of the water tank with a damp cloth or sponge.
Filter holder
• Rinse the filter holder (10) in warm water and allow it to dry.
Filter
• Remove the filter (8, 9) from the filter holder. Wash it in hot water after each use.
• Should the filter be heavily soiled, clean it with a brush. If the holes in the filter are plugged, use a needle to
clean them.
• Dry the filter thoroughly.
Steam/hot water jet
• Before cleaning it, allow some hot water to run through the steam/hot water jet (6) (see section
Preparing
hot water
). Then turn the function knob (5) to the position and pull the power plug. Wait until the device
has cooled down completely before continuing.
• Remove the rubber cover from the steam/hot water jet and wash it thoroughly with hot water. Let it dry.
• Wipe the jet clean with a damp cloth to remove any milk remnants. Check that the hole in the jet is not
plugged. If necessary, clean it with a needle.
• As soon as it is dry, re-attach the rubber cover to the jet.
