Basic Baer Recipe
Ingredients - Makes 8 Crepes
• 200ml whole milk • 140g plain flour • 2 eggs
• 25g butter( melted) • 100ml water • pinch of salt
Sift the flour into a large bowl, with a pinch of salt make a well in the centre.
Mix the milk and 100ml of and milk together.
Break the eggs into the well and start whisking slowly, add the milk and water in
a steady stream, keep whisking untill the batter is smooth and all flour has been
mixed in well
Note: using a blending is another good option to mix the ingredients well.
Set the batter aside to rest for 30 minutes at room temperature. This gives the
gluten a chance to relax and allows the flour to fully absorb the liquid.
After 30 minutes, whisk in the melted butter to the mix well. The batter is
ready for use.
