If you do not achieve a steady, reliable flame return
to step 5 and repeat until a good flame is achieved.
For first time use, allow the air in the gas tube to escape
for about 20 seconds (or more, depending on length of
your gas tube) before lighting. (we recommend using a
lighter, as biogas is less flammable than regular gas)
The gas produced at first may contain a high level of CO2
and will not ignite easily
If the flame is not steady or the gas does not ignite, emp-
ty the gas tank by unscrewing the Gas Valve Connector
until the gas tank has completely deflated. Initially, the
storage tank may need to be emptied once or twice.
Once the gas tank starts to fill visibly, try lighting your
stove. (first open the Gas Valve at the system)
Close the Gas Valve Connector and wait for the tank to fill
up again, then try to light the stove.
Once you are able to easily light a steady flame at your
stove, the system is ready for use. At this point you may
start to input food waste.
For the first two weeks, feed
the system a maximum of 6 liters of food waste or up
to 25 liters animal manure a day.
