CONNECTIONS

1. POWER

Rocker switch to isolate the mains power from the CDJ-1. It is recommended to turn off the power to

the CDJ-1 when the unit will not be in use for long periods of time.

2. AC IN

Please use the mains cable supplied, which will allow connection to the relevant mains wall plug

in your country.

Please check the voltage label below this inlet to ensure that the voltage is

correct for your region. Please consult your local dealer if you are unsure that this is correct.

3. FX SEND (L/R), 4. FX RETURN (L/R) SOCKETS

It is possible to use special effect units with the CDJ-1. The FX send socket allows the output signal

path to be broken to insert a special effects unit prior to the amplifier. It is necessary to return the

signal to the FX return to complete the audio path. See page 6.
The FX send RCA phono sockets fitted to the CDJ-1 will automatically disconnect the audio signal

path when a plug is inserted, therefore it is necessary to return the signal through the FX return

sockets before sound can be heard.

5. AMP OUTPUT SOCKETS

The CDJ-1 allows connection to a bigger amplifier for higher power applications. The internal

amplifier will be disconnected when cables are inserted into these sockets. The output sensitivity of

this output is 775mV @ 0dB. See page 6.

6. MIC INPUT SOCKET

It is possible to use most microphones with the CDJ-1. It is recommended to use a mic with an

impedance of 600 ohms. See page 6.

7. HEADPHONE SOCKET

It is possible to use most headphones with the CDJ-1. It is recommended to use headphones with an

impedance of 32 ohms. See page 6.

8. BATTERY COMPARTMENT

It is possible to use the CDJ-1 using batteries, you will require x 6 D type heavy duty alkaline

batteries. Please observe the correct orientation which is indicated on the base of the chassis.

Batteries are liable to leakage, so please remove from the CDJ-1 if it will not be used for long periods

of time. Also remove when discharged. The CDJ-1 requires a large amount of current to operate

at high volume levels. Please note, the battery life will be seriously impaired when operating all

functions on the CDJ-1.
