OPERATION
PRE-RIDE INSPECTION
For your safety, it is very important to take a
few moments before each ride to walk around
your motorcycle and check its condition. If you
detect any problem, be sure you take care of it,
or have it corrected by your dealer.
• Engine oil level – add engine oil if required
(page 33). Check for leaks.
• Fuel level – fill fuel tank when necessary
(page 30). Check for leaks.
• Brakes – check operation;
Front: Make sure there is no brake fluid
leakage (page 24).
Rear: Adjust freeplay if necessary (pages 26
– 27)
• Tyres – check condition and pressure (pages
34 – 37).
• Spokes and rim lock – check and tighten if
necessary (page 81).
• Drive chain – check condition and slack
(page 76). Adjust and lubricate if necessary.
• Chain slider – check slider wear (page 77).
Improperly maintaining this motorcycle
or failing to correct a problem before
riding can cause a crash in which you
can be seriously hurt or killed.
Always perform a pre-ride inspection
before every ride and correct any
problems.
