Recharge circuit check
This check should be done in two stages:
a. Run the engine at maximum rpm with the headlights on.
If the battery warning light does not out, measure the voltage between the battery terminals, an amount that should
rapidly decrease.
This means that the voltage regulator is not sufficiently recharging.
b. Run the engine at maximum rpm with the headlights off.
If the battery warning light goes off, butafter a short time the protection intervenes with an alarm, measure the voltage
between the battery terminals, which should not exceed 16 volts.
In this case, recharging is too high - beyond the permitted limits.

Carburetor solenoid operation
check (HF2218 only)
For this check there should be:
1. The key in the «ON» position.
2. The CN 1 connector disconnected.
Actuation of the carburettor electromagnet valve must be
detected when a bridge is established between pins 8 and 3
of the connector on wiring [1].
