REMOVING EXTERNAL PARTS AND MAIN
ASSEMBLIES
In order to carry out the most difficult operations, it may sometimes be necessary to obtain easier access by
removing the subassembly concerned so that the work can be carried out on a bench or, alternatively, by removing
the fairing or external components.
Whether or not this will be useful is at the discretion of the mechanic’s experience.
The timings for these items of work are shown in chapter 1.6.
5.1
Removal of front hood
The removal of the front hood gives greater accessibility to:

the engine and its accessories,
−
the silencer and protection.
Free the cables [1] from the cable clamp and remove the
bulbs
[2] by unscrewing them in the anticlockwise direction.
Then remove the clips [3] from the hinge and remove the
fairing.
