Removal of the cutting deck
Removing the cutting plate makes it easier and more
convenient to carry out operations on the blade driving
toothed belt and the revision and replacement of hubs,
bearings or blade shafts. With a certain amount of experience
and practice, it is possible to do this work even with the deck
in position.
1. Remove the ejection conveyor (see 5.3).
2. Dismantle the engine pulley (see 5.6) to free the belt.
3. Place the cutting height adjusting lever in position “1” and,
then, unscrew the upper nut on the lifting cable adjusting
devices [1] and remove them from their seats by slightly
raising the plate.
4. Loosen the clutch cable [2] and remove it from its seat.
Remove the upper casing [3] and unhook the spring [4]
from the tightener.
5. Unscrew the nuts [5] and the locknuts [6] of the jointed
connecting rods and remove the deck.
On re-assembly, after having made all the reconnections,...
6. Reassemble the engine pulley and tighten the central
screws to the prescribed amounts (see 5.6).
7. Reattach the conveyor (see 5.3).
8. Reset all the adjustments to the deck (see 4.4).
