Adjustment of steering allowance
To avoid adversely affecting steering accuracy, there must not
be excess play on the steering wheel.
Check that the movement is not caused by loose linkage nuts,
and completely tighten all nuts in the steering joints and the
ring gear.
If the movement is caused by the pinion/ring gear coupling,
unscrew the nut [1] and the locknut [2]. When the central
screw,
[3] which holds the ring gear [4], is undone, remove
one or both of the spacers [5] placed between the bush [6]
and the frame.

Re-assemble everything, fully tightening the nut and
locknut [1] and [2].
If the movement remains despite having removed the spacers,
check and, if necessary, replace the pinion/ring gear unit or
look for other possible causes (see 6.3).
