6.6
Replacement of blade connection belt
1. Put the cutting deck in its lowest position to facilitate
access.
2. Remove casings (where present).
3. Dismantle the pulley [1] by undoing the fixing screw [2] and
unhook the two springs [3] and [4]. Undo the joint screw
[5] and remove the screw coupling plate [6].
4. Remove the protective cowling [7] by loosening the six
screws at its edge [8] and drawing it away from the slots.
5. Measure the length of the tightening screw [9] (which must
be restored during fitting in order to provide preliminary
adjustment of the belt) and unscrew it fully.
6. Remove guide [10], loosen guide [11] and the pulley
[12]
so that the belt can be removed.
7. Remove the new belt so that, with two strands tightened,
the blades are positioned at an angle of 90° one with
respect to the other.
8. Reinstall all the parts by carrying out the above-mentioned
operations in the reverse order. Before locking guide [10]
and pulley [12], restore the length of the tightening screw
to the value previously measured and check that the blades
are correctly set at 90°.
