Engine Oil

1. Change the engine oil (see page 27).

2. Check the air filter and clean as necessary (see page 30).

3. Remove the spark plug (see page 32).

4. Pour a tablespoon (5 - 10 cc) of clean engine oil into the cylinder.

5. Slowly pull the recoil starter rope a few times to distribute the oil in 

the cylinder.

6. Reinstall the spark plug.

7. Pull the starter rope slowly 

until resistance is felt. 
Continue pulling slowly until 
the arrow notch on the starter 
pulley aligns with the hole on 
the recoil starter. Return the 
starter grip gently. This will 
close the valves so moisture 
cannot enter the engine 
cylinder.
