iLON 10 Setting

Allow HTTP Access

Has to be enabled to allow configuration
changes.

Used to authenticate ARENA when it
tries to do configuration changes on the
iLON 10.

Used to authenticate ARENA when it
tries to do configuration changes on the
iLON 10.
Enable Ethernet Connections

Has to be enabled for LAN connections
and disabled for Dial-up connections.
Use PPP as dial backup when
Ethernet link fails

Has to be enabled in case of Dial-Up. If
this setting is unchecked, a dial-out is
never initiated from iLON 10.
Enable Outbound PPP Calls
-
Has to be enabled in case of Dial-Up. If
this setting is unchecked, a dial-out is
never initiated from iLON 10.
Number of retries for outbound PPP
connections
-
This is the number of Dial-Out attempts
the iLON 10 makes in case of an alarm
when the ARENA cannot be reached.
The controller will initiate redialing after 5
minutes waiting time. Usually set to 0,
because the PANTHER controller does
the alarm repeat.
Use PAP (after CHAP fails)
-
Authentication mechanism to be used
when connecting to a PC via a modem.
Must be enabled.
Allow and authenticate incoming PPP
connections
-
Must be enabled in case of Dial-Up.
Otherwise, the supervisor PC (ARENA)
cannot contact the iLON 10.
User Name (for incoming PPP
connections)
Outgoing Connection -> User Name
Used to authenticate supervisor PC
(ARENA) when it tries to contact the
iLON 10 for configuration purpose.
Password (for incoming PPP
connections)
Outgoing Connection -> Password
Used to authenticate supervisor PC
(ARENA) when it tries to contact the
iLON 10 for access to controller data
Answer phone after X rings
-
Number of rings the iLON 10 modem
waits until it takes a call from the outside.
ARENA sets this value to 1 for fastest
connect time.
