ATTENTION
In addition to the pre-built trunk cables, you may elect to build your own trunk cables. Honeywell
provides the following to aid you in the construction of your own cables.
l
ControlNet-certified trunk cable (TC-KCC900), available on a reel in 275 meter (900
feet) lengths.
l
Trunk Cable Connectors (TC-MC1BNC), packaged two to a set (one for each end).
l
ControlNet Coax Cable Toolkit (9904-CTK)
l
The standard PVC trunk cable supplied as TC-KCC900 and also in TC-KCCX01 through
TC-KCC500 cable assemblies in Table 2 above is ControlNet-qualified quad-shield
RG6/U type with black PVC jacket for indoor use or outdoor use in conduit (suitably
protected from UV light and moisture, for longest life) according to Honeywell purchase
specification 51192416. The cable has UL/NEC rating CMR or CL2R as well as
CSA/CEC rating CMR, and passes the UL-1666 Vertical Riser flame test. The cable
jacket is marked with “ControlNet” and “(UL) CL2R or CMR or C(UL) CMR” approval
information. Cable minimum bend radius is 3 inches. Temperature rating is -30 to +75
degrees C.
Other types of non-standard trunk cable (some with FEP construction) are available from
Honeywell and ControlNet cable suppliers for special environmental applications such as direct
burial, plenums, etc. Refer to the Control Hardware Planning Guide,
Determining what type of
cable you need.
