Connect with RS485
A Xenon scanner or cordless base can be connected for an IBM POS terminal inter-
face. (This interface is not available in the Granit devices.)
1. Connect the appropriate interface cable to the device, then to the computer.
Note:
The power supply must be ordered separately, if needed.
2. Make sure the cables are secured in the wireways in the bottom of the cordless
base and the base sits flat on a horizontal surface.
3. Turn the terminal/computer power back on. The scanner beeps.
4. Verify the scanner or cordless base operation by scanning a bar code from the
beginning on page 351. The scanner beeps once. If using a
Granit scanner, it also vibrates.
