Connecting PTZ
You can control multi-protocol PTZ through RS-485/RS-422 interface
at the rear panel of the video encoder. The port support many PTZ
protocol. Refer to
Channel (PTZ)
on page
31
for detailed protocol
information.
For PTZ device with RS-485 interface, connect the Rx+ and Rx-
cables to Tx+ and Tx- on the rear panel of HUSS-E1 encoder. You
can also connect several PTZs in parallel form. If numbers of
connected PTZs is larger, connect an impedance of 120
Ω
between
the farthest terminal of Tx+ and Tx-.
For PTZ devices with RS-422 interface, connect Tx+ and Tx- to Rx+
and Rx- on the rear panel of HUSS-E1 encoders besides the
connections of Rx+ and Rx-. While, now since the encoder supports
the simplex PTZ protocol only, it’s not important to connecting Tx+
and Tx- to the rear panel and the connection is compatible with
RS485.
Note
Please isolate devices when using PTZ to control
outside device
Connecting Network
HUSS-E1 encoder and HUSS-D1 decoder can be connected to LAN
and WAN as they have standard RJ45 interface and support TCP/IP
protocol. Make sure the bandwidth is wide enough when connecting
them to network. It is a switch not a hub that is recommended when
setting up an LAN as exchange avoids long-distance wiring. Please
select right bandwidth when connecting them to WAN.
Please make the wire in terms of standard strictly.
Connecting RS-232
To configure special functions, connect RS-232 interface to PC by
intersecting line.
