BRI (Basic Reader Interface)
Honeywell proprietary protocol for controlling the reader. For information about
the BRI, see the Basic Reader Interface Programmer Reference Manual

LLRP (Low-Level Reader Protocol)
EPCglobal standard for network interfaces between the RFID reader and its
controlling software. The RFID reader supports version 1.0.1 of the EPCglobal

Configure the BRI Server Settings
Configure the BRI Server to handle communications between your application and
the RFID module.
1. Log in to the web browser interface and click
RFID Services > BRI > BRI Server
.
2. Configure the BRI Server settings.
3. Click
Activate Changes
to save your changes.

View the BRI Server Log
If you enable logging, you can see a list of BRI server events, and save the logfile as
a .txt file.
1. Log in to the web browser interface and enable logging.
2. Click
RFID Services > BRI > BRI Log

Setting
Description
Enable External BRI
Connections
Enables external TCP connections to the BRI server. If this is not enabled,
BRI applications will not be able to connect to the reader.
BRI TCP Port
Specifies the TCP port used for incoming connections to the BRI server.
This port must be unique for all TCP services running on the reader. Valid
range is 2189 to 65535. Default is 2189.
Enable Logging
Enables logging of BRI server events.
