the cursor in the selection field

SUA Alerting

Use the Rotary Knob to
select
On
or
Off
.

When
On
is selected the
SUA Alerting Buffer
will be
editable. Use the Joystick to
place the cursor over this field
(see Figure 1-48) and use the
Rotary Knob to select the
desired altitude. An Airspace
Alert message will be given
when the aircraft enters within
this selected buffer altitude
from the published SUA alti-
tude boundary. For example: if
the published upper SUA
boundary is 3,000 feet and a
buffer altitude of 1,000 feet is
selected, the Airspace Alert will
be issued when the aircraft
descends to 4,000 feet and is
within the lateral SUA bound-
aries.
