Notice Patrol - Indice a - Fevrier 2013

Inspection:

After each cleaning activity or exchanging parts, check the complete garment for tears, holes or damage to the coating, and the

performance of the complete garment. Check all main parts on mechanical or chemical damages or pollution. Replace parts by genuine spare
parts only. A complete system or spare part which is damaged must be discontinued and then be handed over to the manufacturer or by
Honeywell Protective Clothing appointed repair facility, for repair. To make certain that the gas suit is gas tight, the entire suit, thus complete with
gloves and boots, must be submitted to a pressure test (according to EN464 standard). The gastight test has to be performed with Patrol test kit
(item A160365) in accordance with NF EN 943-1:2003.  Strictly follow the instructions of the manual user guide of the test kit. The pressure drop
in the suit should not exceed 300Pa (3mbar) in 6 minutes. In case of default, the suit has to be immediately decommissioned.

Maintenance:

After use, the protective suit or parts of the suit should be checked on damages, distortion or corrosion of the cloth material,

stitching, the tape on the inside, buckles and zippers, the visor or face seal, the gloves and the boots as well as the presence of all parts.
Repairs and/or changes must be carried out by a certified PATROL dealer or by Honeywell.
Repairs (Repairs have not been part of the EC-type examination and take place under the risk of Honeywell or the user): Only original materials
and components should be used for repairs. Small holes and tears in the fabric can be repaired with the aid of the patches supplied with the
PATROL test & repair kit, following the procedure described here below: Clean the fabric around the damaged section on the inside and the
outside using White Spirit. Damages should always be patched on both in the inside and on the outside of the suit. Start with the inside. Do not
repair damages larger than 50mm. Apply a thin coating of solution to both the cloth and the inner side of the patch(es). Allow the solution to dry
for 5 to 10 minutes and then position the patch(es) and press them firmly into place using a roller or similar means. After 24h, check the suit for
gas-tightness with the Patrol test kit. All repair and checking operations described above can of course be carried out by your officially appointed
supplier or by Honeywell.

Warning

: Repaired suits have a limited time of use only. To determine the usability of a suit, the suit must be returned

to the supplier who, in consultation with the manufacturer, will decide whether the suit should be repaired and/or re-designated as a training suit.
Serious defects may only be repaired by Honeywell.
Exchanging face

-

seal: The face-seal can only be exchanged by Honeywell. Exchanging boots

The boots can only be exchanged by Honeywell.

Storage:

After use, cleaning and inspection, the suit must be stored in the plastic bag supplied, out of light and dust, b 5°C and + 35°C.

Measures must be taken so that oil, grease, solvents, acids or other chemical substances won’t be brought into contact with the protective suit.
When stored in a case or bag, neither the suit nor the zip fastener should be folded with force. It is essential to make certain that the suit is
completely dry. The suit should be inspected at least once a year. The recommended storage life of PATROL suit is 5 years ender optimum
