to fly to the desired altitude. The procedure to fly an ASEL mode is
described in table 8--9.

Set the desired altitude in the PFD altitude preselect
window.

Initiate the ascent or descent toward the new altitude. This
process arms the ASEL mode.

Engage another vertical mode such as VS, SPD, or FLC on
the GC. The PFD displays the following messages:

The other vertical mode in green.
