8. Using the TAB key select EXIT, and then press ENTER to exit from the System setup.

The computer restarts automatically.

9. After restarting the computer, while the computer is performing POST (Power On Self Test), at the

time of storage controller initialization, a message Press <Ctrl-I> to enter configuration utility
appears.

10. Press CTRL+I to enter the Intel® Matrix Storage Manager

11. Using the ARROW keys, highlight the option Create RAID Volume.

12. Press ENTER to display the Create Volume Menu.

13. Press the TAB key to select the RAID level option.

14. Using the ARROW keys, set the RAID level to RAID1 (Mirror).

15. Press ENTER and set the default for other options (Leave the Default Values for other options).

16. Press the TAB key and select Create Volume.

17. Press ENTER.

A warning message appears prompting you to confirm the volume creation.

18. Press Y to accept.

19. Using the ARROW keys, select Exit and then press ENTER to exit.

A confirmation message appears asking you to restart the computer.

Check LCNP status

If the node is a T-node with the LCNP4E / LCNP4e2 board installed, verify that the LCNP passed a self-
test.

To check LCNP status

1. From the Start menu, select LCNP Status.

2. Verify that the LCNP status indicates Passed Self Test and is circled in green.

3. Verify that LCN Address appears in the LEDs field of the LCNP Status display

Set monitor resolution

When the workstation is initialized, the monitor configuration is established based on the following user
input.

After initialization, if you are installing a monitor different from what was originally defined, you must
adjust the monitor settings for optimal performance.
