How to Restart the Tablet
If the computer or an application locks up, or if the computer does not respond
when you press the
Power
button, you may need to restart the computer.
The computer uses the configuration currently saved in flash memory during the
boot process. Try these methods, in order, to restart the computer:
•
Restart
: Restarts the tablet and goes through the full initialization process.
•
Restart in Safe Mode
: Restarts the tablet with limited files and drivers.
•
Reset
: Returns the tablet to the factory default state.
Restart the Tablet
You may need to restart the tablet to correct conditions where an application stops
responding to the system.
1. Save your files and close any open applications.

If the touch screen is unresponsive:
•
Press and hold the
Power
button for approximately 6 seconds to turn the tablet
off.
Restart in Safe Mode
If rebooting the tablet did not work, restart in safe mode to get the computer up
and running for further troubleshooting. Safe mode allows you to start the tablet
with limited drivers, apps and processes.

7. After the tablet restarts, tap anywhere on the screen to access the keyboard.
8. Select 4 (or F4) to start in Safe Mode, or 5 (or F5) for Safe Mode with
Networking.
