Radio Compliance Information
The SmartLine Wireless Temperature transmitter uses a low powered ISA100 2.4GHz radio to
communicate with the Radio Infrastructure and Gateway devices that are connected to a wired
DCS network. The wireless transmit power is set at the factory depending on the destination
country. The combination of allowed transmit power and antenna gains result in a maximum
EIRP of 26 dBm = 398 mW transmitted power. This power is limited depending on destination
country.

(1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and

compliance with the Radio Equipment Directive (RED)
2014/53/EU.
Radio Frequency (RF) statement
To comply with FCC’s and Industry Canada’s RF exposure requirements, the following antenna
installation and device operating configurations must be satisfied.
•
Remote Point-to-Multi-Point antenna(s) for this unit must be fixed and mounted on outdoor
permanent structures with a separation distance between the antenna(s) of greater than 20cm
and a separation distance of at least 20cm from all persons.
•
Remote Fixed Point–to-Point antenna(s) for this unit must be fixed and mounted on outdoor
permanent structures with a separation distance between the antenna(s) of greater than 20cm
and a separation distance of at least 100cm from all persons.
•
Furthermore, when using integral antenna(s) the SmartLine Wireless Transmitter unit must
not be co-located with any other antenna or transmitter device and have a separation distance
of at least 20cm from all persons.
European Union restriction
The SmartLine Wireless Transmitters are in conformity with the applicable standards as required
by the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) 2014/53/EU.
