NOTE
A Local Control Network Processor (LCNP) board and LCN Media Access Unit (MAU) are no
longer used if the Workstation has been upgraded to be an ELCN node.
To connect the remaining cables to the workstation
1. If you have an IKB that uses the OEP/IKB adapter, connect the PS/2 keyboard cable from the
OEP/IKB adapter to the keyboard PS/2 port.
2. If you are not using Fault Tolerant Ethernet (FTE), connect the Ethernet cable to the RJ-45
connector on the Network Interface Card.
If you are using FTE, you must connect the FTE cables according to the instructions in the Fault
Tolerant Ethernet Installation and Service Guide.
3. Connect the LCN MAU cable to the MAU connector on the LCNP4e2 card.
4. Connect any USB devices or hubs to the USB ports; you can also connect the USB IKB. The USB
device connected to USB ports works only if the driver is installed on the operating system.
5. Secure any loose cables, and verify that all cables have proper strain relief.
