Updating your phone in eRecovery mode will not delete your device data. During the
update, ensure that your phone is connected to an available Wi-Fi network and that the
battery level is higher than 30%.
To do so:
Use a USB cable to connect your phone to a computer or charger. When the phone is
powered off, press and hold the Volume up and Power buttons until the phone vibrates
and enters eRecovery mode.

To ensure a successful update, switch the connection mode to charging.
Select an available Wi-Fi network.
Download the latest HOTA full package in eRecovery mode.
After the download is complete, the system will automatically complete the update
process.
Do not operate your phone during the update. When the update is completed, the phone will
restart automatically.
If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an
authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
