Removing and Installing

 the Door

Take care when removing the screen door, and ensure that the fire

-

place has been properly cooled before handling the screen door. 

 

Do not attempt to remove the door when hot.

Removing the Door:

Remove the screen door by lifting it up by the two door tabs on the 

bottom of the door. Swing out the bottom of the door si it clears the 

bottom door rail, as illustrated in figure 8a.

The screen door must be installed prior to oper

ating the heater.

Cautions:

  If logs are not placed properly, excessive sooting 

 

will result.

  The surface of the logs will crack due to the heat from 

the flames. This is a normal occurance.

  The use of ember material is strictly prohibited.

Installing the Logset

Installing the Logs:

The 

24VF 

is supplied with a two-piece fibre logset. The logset is very 

fragile and must be handled very carefully. 

1.

  Remove the screen door as shown in figure 8a.

 

2. 

  To install the logs, place the rear log in place on the rear log rest. 

Ensure that the log is centered in place as shown below. Place the 

front log in place on the front logrest and center it in place.

3.

  Re-install the screen door before operating the fireplace.

  If there is any evidence of carbon or blackening on the logs

 

from direct contact with the fire, they may be installed incor

-

rectly. Refer to the illustration and correct immediately.

Re-Installing the Door:

Install the screen door by aligning the top edge in place underneath 

the heat baffle. Slide the door up and then rest it down into place 

behind the lower door rail, as shown below.

Removing the Logs:

Remove the door and carefully remove the logs from the logrests. 

Handle the logs very carefully.
