HOW TO OPERATE YOUR FIRE EXTINGUISHER

Pull out the safety pin, to free the lever.

Aim the nozzle or hose at the base of the fire.

Squeeze the handle.
»
Sweep the nozzle or hose across the base of the fire until it is fully extinguished.
IMPORTANT:
The extinguisher must always be recharged after any use, even if only
parts of the contents have been used. Recharging requires special equipment and
training, Contact an authorized service centre. Use only Housegard specified
extinguishing agents and spare parts.
MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION
All maintenance must be done according to national standards. In private households
Housegard recommends, an authorized inspection every 5 years, and a full service
every 10 years.
REGULAR SELF-MONITORING

Check that the extinguisher is correctly located in the designated place.

Make sure the fire extinguisher is intact and without visible damage.

Check that the manometer needle points in the green sector.
»
Check that the safety pin is in place and sealed.
