CUTTING THE VENT TUBES
With the furnace installed on wall the 5in (127mm) diameter air inlet tube and 3in (76.2mm) diameter flue outlet tube are
to be marked and cut using the following procedure. After cutting the tubes, each tube should be individually checked for
proper length before installing by fitting in place.

FLUE OUTLET TUBE
COLLAR ON HEATER
Attach 5in (127mm) diameter air inlet tube onto the collar of
the heater. Be sure 5in (127mm) diameter air inlet tube is
placed as far as possible onto the collar of the heater. Mark
the 5in (127mm) diameter air inlet tube 1-7/16in (36.5mm)
beyond the mounting surface for the outside wall plate.
Remove 5in (127mm) diameter air inlet tube from collar of
the heater.

FLUE OUTLET TUBE
COLLAR ON HEATER
Attach 3in (76.2mm) diameter flue outlet tube onto flue outlet
collar on combustion chamber. Be sure 3in (76.2mm) diameter
flue outlet tube is placed as far as possible onto the collar of
flue outlet. Mark the 3in (76.2mm) diameter flue outlet tube
2-7/8in (73.0mm) beyond the mounting surface for the outside
wall plate. Remove 3in (76.2mm) diameter flue outlet tube
from collar of flue outlet on combustion chamber.

Mark or wrap tape completely around the tubes at the marked
points to help in making a true cut. Do not crimp or enlarge
tubes. Remove tape after cutting the tubes.
