Special safety instructions
For outdoor use only.
Never attempt to use lamp oil, petrol, kerosene or
other inflammable liquids in the heater.
The gas system, regulator, pilot light and burner
must be checked for leaks using soapy water and
if necessary repaired before use (see 'Testing for
leaks').
Always ensure that hoses to and from the gas
bottle and any joints will not be damaged during
use. Do not allow hoses to lie where it is possible
to trip over them.
Inlet pressure on the propane regulator must not
exceed 6.8 bar. Minimum supply pressure must be
0.02 bar.
All gas connections, gas bottles, valves, hoses and
installations shall conform to legal requirements
and be tested in accordance with instructions
before use.
Never use gas bottles or valves that are damaged
or rusty.
Check that vapour can escape from the bottle
cylinder.
If you smell gas during use, close the gas bottle
regulator immediately.
The heater can become very hot during use and
must therefore not be used in the vicinity of
inflammable materials, including roofing, canopies
and parasols. Keep all inflammable materials away
from the heater.
Never pour water on the heater while it is hot, as it
can damage the surface.
Never move the heater while in use. Switch off and
allow to cool before moving.
Never block the ventilation and air circulation
openings.
Close the gas bottle regulator when the heater is
not in use.
Do not leave the heater while it is switched on,
even if only on pilot light.
Never paint the burner compartment, reflector or
control panel.
Have an expert check and service the heater if it
fails to achieve the correct temperature, emits a
popping noise when in use or if the flame tips are
yellow and there is a smell of gas.
Remove all covers before use, and do not replace
until the heater has fully cooled.
