Before removing the battery, follow these steps:
1.
Prepare the computer for disassembly (

).
2.
Remove the rubber feet (see
).
3.
Remove the bottom cover (see
).
Remove the battery:
1.
Remove the five screws (1) securing the battery.
2.
Lift the top of the battery (2), and then remove the system board hook (3).
Reverse this procedure to install the battery.
Hard drive
To remove the hard drive, use this procedure and illustration.
NOTE:
The hard drive spare part kit does not include the hard drive bracket.
