Extending your App Library
Apps are the application environments where you
explore different classes of mathematical operations.
You can extend the capability of the HP 39gII by adding
additional apps to the Apps Library. Adding new apps to
the library can be done in a number of ways:
•
Create new apps, based on existing apps, with
specific configurations such as angle measure,
graphical or tabular settings, and annotations.
•
Transmit apps between HP 39gII calculators via
micro-USB cable.
•
Program new apps. See the chapter titled
Programming
for more details.
Creating new apps based on existing apps
You can create a new app based on an existing app. To
create a new app, save an existing app under a new
name, then modify the app to add the configurations and
the functionality that you want.
Information that defines an app is saved automatically as
it is entered into the calculator.
To keep as much memory available for storage as
possible, delete any apps you no longer need.
Example
This example demonstrates how to create a new app by
saving a copy of the built-in Solve app. The new app is
saved under the name
TRIANGLES
and contains familiar
formulas for solving problems involving triangles.
