Help
Press
SV
(Help) to enter the HP 39gII built-in Help
system. The Help system always opens in your current
context or view, giving you information about the current
view and its menu items. Once in the Help system, you
can navigate to other topics and find help on any view or
command.
Example:

and select Function. Press

to get help on the purpose of the Function App.
Math keys
Home (
H
) is the place to do calculations.
Keyboard keys.
The most common operations are
available from the keyboard, such as the arithmetic (like

) and trigonometric (like

) functions. Press

to complete the operation:

Press
b
to open the Math menu. The
Math menu is a
comprehensive list of math
functions that do not appear
on the keyboard. It also
includes categories for all other functions and constants.
The functions are grouped by category, ranging in
alphabetical order from
Calculus
to
Trigonometry
.

Use the up- and down-arrow keys to scroll through
the list. Use the right- and left-arrow keys to move
between the category and item columns.
A
Press the

key to access the
alphabetic character printed on the
bottom right of a key. For instance, to
type Z, press
A
and then
press
z
because Z is printed on
the bottom right of the
z
key. For
a lower case letter, press
A
then
S
. To type more than one letter,
press
A
a second time to lock the
Alpha shift.
