Hot swappable power supply failure
This section applies to the 5800-48G-PoE+ (2 slots), 5800-48G-PoE+ TAA (2 slots), 5800AF-48G,
5800-24G-SFP (1 slot), 5800-24G-SFP TAA (1 slot), 5820AF-24XG, 5820X-24XG-SFP+,
5820X-24XG-SFP+ TAA, 5820X-14XG-SFP+ (2 slots), and 5820X-14XG-SFP+ TAA (2 slots) switches.
Look at the PWR1 or PWR2 LED of the switch and the LEDs on the power supply to identify a power
supply failure.
The 5800AF-48G/5820AF-24XG switch does not have PWR1 or PWR2 LED. You can use the LEDs on
the power supply to identify a power supply failure.

If the power supply system is correctly working, the power supply status LEDs are steady green. If the LEDs
behave in any other way, verify the following items:
•
The power supply is switched on. Skip this step if the power supply has no switch.
•
The switch power cord is correctly connected.
•
The power source meets the requirement.
•
The operating temperature of the switch is in the normal range and the power supply has good
ventilation.
If the problem persists, contact HP Support for help.

•
The switch power cord is correctly connected.
•
The power source meets the requirement.
•
The operating temperature of the switch is in the normal range and the power supply has good
ventilation.
