To Set A Relay
To Set A Relay
Relays are set by selecting the desired relay and then toggling it’s state.
Step 1 - Determine which relay to set
There are twelve functional relays in the HP 70427A and one functional
relay in the HP 70428A Option 002. (The HP 70427A has no functional
relays.) These relays are numbered 0 to 15 with 5,13,14 and 15 unused.
Relay numbers, mnemonics, and descriptions are shown in a table at the end
of this chapter. Additional information can be found on the simplified block
diagrams in chapter 13.
Step 2 - Access the hardware control softkeys
1. Press the
Service
softkey.
2. Press the
Hardware Control
softkey.
Step 3 - Enter the relay number
1. Press the
RELAY NUMBER
softkey.
2. Enter the relay number with the numeric keypad and press the
ENTER
softkey or use the up/down keys to select the relay.
Step 4 - Set the relay state
Press the
RELAY STATE
softkey to toggle the relay sate between Normal and
Out states and their descriptions are shown in tables at the end of the chapter.
