Repackage
the
tracking
generator
in
the
original
packaging
materials
,
or
with
commercially
available
materials
as
described
in
steps
3,
4
and
5.
1.
Fill
in
a
blue
service
tag
(located
at
the
back
of
this
manual)
and
attach
it
to
the
instrument.
Please
be
as
specic
as
possible
about
the
nature
of
the
problem.
Include:
Any
error
messages
that
appeared
on
the
display
.
A
completed
performance
test
record.
Any
other
information
about
the
performance
of
the
instrument.
2.
Wrap
the
instrument
in
anti-static
plastic
to
reduce
the
possibility
of
damage
caused
by
electrostatic
discharge
.
Caution
Tracking
generator
damage
can
result
from
using
packaging
materials
other
than
those
specied.
Never
use
styrene
pellets
in
any
shape
as
packaging
materials
.
They
do
not
adequately
cushion
the
equipment
or
prevent
it
from
shifting
in
the
carton.
P
ellets
cause
equipment
damage
by
generating
static
electricity
.
3.
Use
the
original
materials
(see
Figure
7-2)
or
a
strong
shipping
container
of
double-walled,
corrugated
cardboard
with
159
kg
(350
lb)
bursting
strength.
The
carton
must
be
large
enough
and
strong
enough
to
accommodate
the
instrument
and
to
allow
at
least
three
to
four
inches
on
all
sides
of
the
instrument
for
packing
material.
4.
Surround
the
equipment
with
at
least
three
to
four
inches
of
packing
material;
use
enough
to
prevent
the
equipment
from
moving
in
the
carton.
If
rigid
packing
foam
is
unavailable
,
you
may
use
any
anti-static
brand
of
bubble
packaging
(sheet
plastic
formed
with
air-lled
bubbles).
Wrap
the
equipment
several
times
in
this
material
to
protect
the
equipment
and
to
keep
it
from
moving
in
the
carton.
5.
Seal
the
shipping
container
securely
with
strong
nylon
adhesive
tape
.
6.
Mark
the
shipping
container
\FRA
GILE,
HANDLE
WITH
CARE"
to
ensure
careful
handling.
7.
Keep
copies
of
all
shipping
papers
.
