The
line
fuse
is
housed
in
a
small
container
located
inside
the
rear-panel
power-connector
module
.
When
replacing
a
fuse
,
be
sure
the
arrows
on
the
container
match
the
direction
of
the
arrows
on
the
power-connector
door
.

Cable
The
HP
85640A
is
equipped
with
a
three-wire
power
cable
,
in
accordance
with
international
safety
standards
.
When
connected
to
an
appropriate
power
source
outlet,
this
cable
grounds
the
instrument
cabinet.
W
arning
F
ailure
to
ground
the
instrument
properly
can
result
in
personal
injury
.
Before
turning
on
the
tracking
generator
,
you
must
connect
its
protective
earth
terminals
to
the
protective
conductor
of
the
main
power
cable
.
Insert
the
main
power
cable
plug
only
into
a
socket
outlet
that
has
a
protective
earth
contact.
Do
not
defeat
the
earth-grounding
protection
by
using
an
extension
cable
,
power
cable
,
or
auto
transformer
without
a
protective
ground
conductor
.
If
you
are
using
an
auto
transformer
,
make
sure
its
common
terminal
is
connected
to
the
protective
earth
contact
of
the
power
source
socket.

the
power
outlets
unique
to
specic
geographic
areas
.
The
appropriate
cable
is
included
with
the
instrument
when
it
is
shipped
to
an
area
requiring
one
of
these
cables
.
