NOTE:
The I/O board bottom Mylar is included in the Miscellaneous Parts Kit, spare part number L50831-001.
Before removing the I/O board, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Remove the bottom cover (see

Remove the I/O board:
1.
Release the ZIF connector (1) to which the I/O board cable is connected, and then disconnect the I/O board
cable from the I/O board.
2.
Remove the two Phillips M2.0×3.0 screws (2) that secure the I/O board to the keyboard/top cover.
3.
Remove the Phillips M2.0×4.0 screw (3) that secures the I/O board and USB bracket to the keyboard/
top cover.
4.
Release the I/O board (4).
