Bail Cycle Test
All LEDsturn off. If the plotter hasnot yet initialized the
media axis, the carriage moves to the rightĆhand side of
the plotter and back to the service station. The following
routine begins:
a
The carriage moves out of the service station and back in, to position itself over the
engaging lever. Thiscausesthe bailĆlift mechanism gear and the left driveĆroller gear
to engage.
b
The top of the roller rotatestowardsyou. Thiscausesthe bail to be gently raised and
then lowered.
c
Again the carriage moves out of, and back into, the service station. However, this time
it parksbeyond the engaging lever, so that the gearsare
not
engaged.
d
The top of the roller rotatesslightly forward and then back.
Status.
After the first cycle, the
Normal
LED turns on (steady) if the bailĆcycle test has
not found an error. If an error occurs, the
Normal
LED flashes.

Error code:
If an error has occurred, this code specifies more precisely what has
gone wrong during the test. Include this information in the report to
your HP Response Center, if the problem cannot be fixed.
