Communications cable
NOTE:
The communications cable is included in the Cable Kit, spare part number 709459-001.
Before removing the communications cable, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.
Remove the display assembly (see
Display assembly on page 26
).
5.
Remove the system board (see
System board on page 42
).
Remove the communications cable:
1.
Turn the system board upside down, with the top toward you.
2.
Remove the protective pad
(1)
that covers the ZIF connector.
3.
Release the ZIF connector
(2)
to which the communications cable is attached, and then disconnect
the communications cable
(3)
from the system board.
4.
Remove the communications cable.
Reverse this procedure to install the communications cable.
