1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.
Remove the bottom cover (see
Bottom cover on page 27
).
Remove the hard drive:
1.
Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
2.
Release the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector (1) to which the hard drive cable is connected, and then
disconnect the hard drive cable from the system board.
3.
Remove the four Phillips PM2.0×3.3 screws (2) that secure the hard drive to the computer.
