Lift the left side of the keyboard

until the keyboard cable and the keyboard backlight cable are
accessible.
NOTE:
The keyboard backlight cable is present on select models only.

Release the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector

to which the keyboard cable is attached, and
then disconnect the keyboard cable

from the system board.

Release the ZIF connector

to which the keyboard backlight cable is attached, and then
disconnect the keyboard backlight cable

from the system board.
