Installing the Signal Generator
This section contains procedures for properly installing your signal generator:
•
checking the shipment
•
installing front handles and rack flange kits
•
meeting electrical and environmental requirements
•
adjusting the display
•
selecting the signal generator’s HP-IB address
•
selecting the programming language
Checking the Shipment
1. Inspect the shipping container for damage.
Look for signs of damage such as a dented or torn shipping container or cushioning
material that shows signs of unusual stress or compacting.
2. Carefully remove the contents from the shipping container and verify that your order is
complete. Refer to Table 1-1 for a list of items that are shipped standard with the signal
generator and for a list of options that you may also have ordered.
