Troubleshooting problems
Following are some troubleshooting tips to try if the WLAN connection does not work:
•
If the WLAN connection does not work with the chosen wireless network, try turning off the WLAN
Power Save
modes. If the access point is configured for WAP or WPS-PSK, use the hidden
configure level command “dot11 wpa handshake timeout” to increase the timeout between sending
the WPA key packets from the default value (100 ms) to a value between 101 and 200 ms.
•
Check the access point settings—ensure that the security setting allows third-party or non-Cisco
devices to associate and authenticate on the network.
•
If a Cisco LEAP access point is being used and the WLAN connection does not work, check to
make sure of the following:
–
The latest version of Vx-Works operating system or IOS is installed on the access points.
–
The latest version of ACS is installed on the server.
