When viewing medical images, make sure the display color setting is set to DICOM.
NOTE:
DICOM color selection will disable Dynamic Contrast Ratio (DCR).
The following table lists options on the Color Control menu:
Main Menu
Description
sRGB (D65)
Sets your screen colors to adapt to the color standards used in the image technology industry.
DICOM (0.0 ALC)
Sets the screen to DICOM Part 14 GSDF at zero ambient light compensation.
DICOM (2.2 ALC)
Sets the screen to DICOM Part 14 GSDF at 2.2 ambient light setting for darker viewing conditions.
Neutral
Sets the color scheme to a point in the 6500K color temperature range.
Cool
Sets the color scheme to a point in the 9300K color temperature range.
Viewing Modes
Sets the display viewing mode.
Custom RGB
Allows you to select and adjust your own color levels.

R: Set the red color levels.
●
G: Set the green color levels.
●
B: Set the blue color levels.
Calibrating the display
If you choose to change the factory-calibrated DICOM settings or the sRGB color space, you will need to re-
calibrate the display. To calibrate or change the DICOM or sRGB color setting, you will need to download the
HP Healthcare Edition DICOM Calibration Tool from the HP displays support website.
CAUTION:
Before installing the software, connect either a video cable and the USB Type-B to USB Type-A
(upstream) cable between the computer and your display (cable provided), or a USB Type-C to USB Type-C
cable (provided) between the computer and your display. For more information, see

Select HP Healthcare Edition DICOM Calibration Tool to download and install.
CAUTION:
To calibrate the display, the HP Healthcare Edition DICOM Calibration Tool must be run in
Administrator mode.
Using the RFID card reader
The display features a dual-band RFID card reader capable of reading 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz frequencies
simultaneously. The card reader allows you to log in to the system quickly using authorized card credentials.
NOTE:
Most common RFID card credentials are supported, but configuration may be necessary before first
use.
